What to Pair With Pore Reset Pads — The Simple, Barrier-First Routine

Pair Pore Reset Pads with Balance, SPF and the rest of your routine — and use retinol on alternative nights. Here's the simple, barrier-first routine that keeps results going, season by season.

What to Pair With Pore Reset Pads — The Simple, Barrier-First Routine

The routine that delivers the result is shorter than people expect. Cleanse, sweep the pad, follow with Balance, layer a serum or moisturiser only if you want to. SPF the next morning. Use retinol on alternative nights. That is it.

The locked routine

Cleanse → Pore Reset Pads → Balance → serum or moisturiser if needed. Two nights a week to start, three once skin has settled. SPF every morning. Use retinol on alternative nights.

Why Balance is the immediate next step

Balance is the barrier-supportive moisturiser that pairs intentionally with Pore Reset Pads. The calming layer in the pad finishes, and Balance locks it in. If you only add one product to your routine alongside the pad, make it Balance.

After Balance, you can add a serum or a heavier moisturiser on top if your skin asks for it. That is your call, not the routine's requirement.

Mornings — what to keep

  • Gentle cleanse
  • Hydrating serum (hyaluronic or similar)
  • Vitamin C if you use it
  • Moisturiser
  • SPF as the closer — always

Skin that has been refined the night before reads light and SPF differently. Wearing SPF protects the result you're building.

Evenings — what to add, what to skip

On Pore Reset Pads nights, the pad is the active. Layer the rest of your routine around it without doubling up on actives.

Add comfortably: hydrating serum, eye cream, lip care, richer moisturiser on top of Balance if your skin needs it.

Skip on the same night: retinol, other AHA/BHA exfoliants, stronger vitamin C serums, physical scrubs, peel masks. (Our guide to exfoliation frequency explains why.)

Use retinol on alternative nights. Pore Reset Pads on Tuesday and Friday, retinol on Wednesday and Saturday, for example.

Three pairings worth knowing

Pore Reset Pads + Balance. The core pairing. Refines and supports in the same routine.

Pore Reset Pads + vitamin C in the morning. Different time of day, complementary work.

Pore Reset Pads + retinol on alternative nights. Two structured active evenings a week, never on the same night.

What stays simple

The temptation when a routine starts working is to add more. New actives, new layers, new boosters. The result you have is the result the routine is built to maintain. Adding crowds it.

Reordering

A jar contains 70 pads. Used at two to three nights a week, that's around 5 to 6 months of use. 6-month Period After Opening. Reorder when you have around ten pads left.

Year-round adjustments

Winter. Drier air and central heating ask more of the barrier. Drop to two nights a week if your skin feels tight, lean into Balance.

Spring. A natural reset point. Most skin handles three nights a week comfortably.

Summer. Higher humidity and oilier T-zones can tolerate three nights a week. Keep SPF strict.

Autumn. Maintenance season. Stay with the rhythm that worked through summer.
